Troels Kløvedal was a Danish author, long-distance sailor, and lecturer, renowned for his adventurous spirit and literary contributions. In 1967, he and two friends acquired the steel galleass Nordkaperen, embarking on multiple circumnavigations of the globe, which deeply influenced his writing and numerous television programs, sharing his maritime experiences and historical insights. He passed away on December 23, 2018, after a battle with ALS, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire adventurers and readers alike.
