Interactive Documentary that explore how the EU should respond when member states fail to uphold the democratic principles on which the union is built.
Poland has faced criticism for discriminating against sexual minorities, restricting abortion rights, and limiting the independence of the judiciary. At the same time the national-conservative, Christian-democratic, and right-wing populist party P.i.S. (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość – Law and Justice) insists that the EU respect Poland’s sovereignty and refrain from interference in domestic affairs.
In this project, you take on the role of EU mission members in Poland. Your task is to investigate how the union can uphold its democratic values while avoiding the risk of pushing member states like Poland out of the EU.
