“Skudt i byen” (literally “Shot in the City”) was a recurring photo feature in Politiken’s weekly supplement Ibyen (“In the City”).
The concept was simple: images that captured an atmospheric, humorous, or poetic slice of city life. It wasn’t traditional news photography; instead, it highlighted small everyday moments, fleeting encounters, or surprising perspectives in the urban environment.
Over the years, the feature gave a kind of evolving portrait of Copenhagen’s moods, rhythms, and characters — a weekly reminder that the city’s stories weren’t only found in headlines but also in chance moments on the street.
